DUSTER is a tabletop role-playing game set in the ruins of the Old States, where folks have rebuilt their world in the style and function of the old west (with the addition of gas-powered vehicles). Players take on roles as Slingers, Brawlers, Ironjacks, Witchlike and many more as they explore this fascinating and dangerous world.
DUSTER is an original game engine that features a simple character creation system but a very deep level of customization as characters develop. With a few quick steps you can have a new character ready to head out into the Wasted Plains!
Players have a vast amount of freedom in character creation, choosing from not only 12 unique class specialties, but also from 50 different talents that they can develop over the course of the game, which results in a staggering number of unique character combinations!
Story gameplay involves 1d6 skill rolls with minimal stat references for more time immersed in the game and less time studying your character sheet. Successes and failures are generally instantly obvious, however sometimes a player roll will trigger a Fate roll from the gamemaster, the result of which is kept secret but the outcome shared. This means the bulk of skill rolls are quickly made and resolved, but there is a dash of hidden information in there as well.
