What’s the most popular format?

The most popular format right now is Commander (also known as EDH). It’s casual-friendly, doesn’t rotate, and lets you play with almost any card that’s ever been made!

How do I start playing?

Stop by a local game store close to you (hopefully that’s us)! A lot of times stores will have promos and other introductory products to give away to new players. When you stop by our store, we’ll give you a Welcome Booster, some quick tips on getting started, and additional promos if available.

Once you’ve visited, the best way to start playing is with a small group of friends. If your friends already play, then picking up a casual deck to play with them is a great way to get going and learn the rules. If you don’t have a group of friends that already plays, or want to learn on your own, then getting started on Magic Arena is a great way to pick up the basics.

Once you know the basics, you can jump into local events! We host a wide variety of events and would love to see you.

What’s the most new-player friendly event?

Our Friday draft events are a great way to get started. They’re casual-friendly and don’t require you to own any of your own cards. Prerelease is also a great time if there’s one coming up (they happen every couple months).

Once you’re more comfortable with the rules, stop by for Commander night! We play every Tuesday starting at 4p, and have a friendly and welcoming community for players of all backgrounds, ages, and skill level.
