FAQs

What are the most popular RPGs?

While Dungeons & Dragons is almost always the biggest RPG in terms of popularity, there are tons of other great titles besides it.

Pathfinder 2E is a great system if you want to get deeper into combat systems and numbers.

Cyberpunk Red is an amazing game for fans of dystopian futures and lighter RPGs. Shadowrun is also an excellent place to start if you’re looking for a fully-featured dystopian RPG system.

The Genesys system is another roleplaying-heavier system that has a simple and streamlined combat system and a great selection of worldbuilding and story resources.

Does TEG host RPGs?

Yes! As your local game store, we try to support as many of your gaming needs as possible.

Monday nights are the best time to come play roleplaying games. We have some coordinated groups that start around 6p, and have space set aside from drop-in tables as well. You can also check around in our Discord server to see if there are any local groups looking for players, or the bulletin board in our store as well.

What’s a great smaller system to try?

We have tons! Thanks to our distribution partners, we’re able to carry a wide array of smaller games.

In particular, we recommend trying out the Fabula Ultima system if you like Anime RPGs, Thousand-Year Vampire if you want a unique roleplaying experience as an ancient vampire, or Raccoon Sky Pirates for a heap of fun, silly times as a gang of raccoons stealing trash.

If you prefer solo RPGs or mapmaking, we also recommend Beak, Feather, & Bone.
