Buy Cards

We sell individual Magic The Gathering cards (singles) of all varieties!

Guidelines

Short lists (under 15 cards), can be requested in-store or online.

For longer lists, and for extra convenience, send your list ahead of time using our contact form or by email to orders@totalescapegames.com.

Sending your list online makes it easier on our team, especially when we get busy. We’ll let you know when your list is ready, what cards were missing, and the total. After that, you can come pick it up!* Please wait to show up to pick up your list until you’ve received an email that it’s ready.

Please do not call us to order cards. We don’t pull lists over the phone to ensure we can help other customers.

Unless otherwise specified, we will always pull the cheapest in-stock version of the cards you request. If you have specific needs, add them to your order request so we can make sure to get you the right versions for the cards you want (foils or no foils, borderless, special arts, etc).

*We hold card lists for a maximum of 3 days so please plan accordingly.

Pricing

For all non-bulk cards, we price using TCGplayer Market Pricing.

Bulk cards are when the price of the card using Market Pricing falls below our price floors. In this case, we charge the below price, instead:

• Commons – $0.25ea
• Uncommons – $0.50ea
• Rares & Mythics – $1.00ea

We do not price lists ahead of pulling them or provide price quotes. Once we pull and price your list, you’re expected to buy it. You can make changes, review what we pulled, and check prices when you arrive to pick up your cards.

Formatting

Please submit your list as plain text, including a list of each card you need, the quantity, and any specifications on card version or printing.

For example,

“Hi all,

I’d like to request some singles. Non-foil only, please:

• 1 Shiko, Paragon of the Way
• 1 Monastery Mentor (MOM extended-art preferred)
• 1 Monastery Swiftspear
• 1 Swiftwater Cliffs
• 1 Steam Vents (retro border preferred)
• 1 Hallowed Fountain

Sell Cards

If you have Magic The Gathering cards you want to get rid of, we’re happy to take a look and purchase any cards we want from you with either in-store credit or cash. We reserve the right to turn down buys, typically in the case of large collections, bulk commons/uncommons, or cards in damaged condition.​

When we buy in cash, you get 40% of TCGplayer Market price on singles over $2. We don’t take singles under $2 for cash, and high-end cards (over $50) or cards in high demand are eligible for a custom quote above 40%.

We cannot provide a quote over email or phone, so please bring your cards into the store for us to take a look. This is so we can ensure the condition, quality, and authenticity of the cards to get you the most accurate possible price. We always have someone on staff who can buy cards, so feel free to stop by anytime.*

Trade Cards

We take in secondhand Magic the Gathering singles for store credit either individually or in bulk. We’ll price your cards based on TCGplayer Market Pricing, and offer you 60% value on the cards we want over $2.

For cards under $2, we may turn them away, or you can trade them in at our bulk rate of $0.10 store credit per card.
